Connection to the cold water inlet
^ The machine must be connected to
the water supply in accordance with
local and national plumbing codes.
^ The machine is constructed with an air
gap/anti-siphoning device on both the
intake and the drain sides. No such ad-
ditional devices are necessary or rec-
ommended, as they will impede the
water inflow into and out of the washer.
^ The water pressure must be between
35 and 145 psi (2.5 - 10.0 bar). If the
water pressure is not within this
range, the Technical Service Depart-
ment can advise you of the measures
to be taken (see "Programming spe-
cial functions").
^ This machine is designed for cold
water connection only. Both inlet
hoses (water supply and steam con-
denser) must be connected to the
valves for cold water. Cold water sup-
ply must be provided with shut off
valves (by others).
^ Valves with

^ For additional protection of the valves
against impurities in the water supply,
large surface area filters are enclosed
in the kit supplied with the machine
(see diagram in "Cleaning and care,
Maintaining the filter assembly").
^ In installations where a source of DI
water is unavailable, it is acceptable
to plumb to cold tap water. However,
when reprocessing rigid endo-
scopes, it is strongly recommended
to use DI water.
