5.
If Insight Remote Support was previously enabled on this file serving node, run the following
command to start Insight Remote Support services each time the node is rebooted:
chkconfig hp-snmp-agents on
To start Insight Remote Support services now, run the following commands:
service hpsmhd start
service snmpd restart
service hp-snmp-agents start
6.
Run ibrix_health -l from the X9000 management console to verify that no errors are
being reported.
Restoring services
When you perform a Quick Restore of a file serving node, the NFS, CIFS, FTP, and HTTP export
information is not automatically restored to the node. After operations are failed back to the node,
the I/O from client systems to the node fails for the NFS, CIFS, FTP, and HTTP shares. To avoid
this situation, manually restore the NFS, CIFS, FTP, and HTTP exports on the node before failing it
back.
Restore CIFS services. If the restored node was previously configured to perform domain authorization
for CIFS services, use the ibrix_auth command to re-register the node in the domain. For
example:
ibrix_auth -n DOMAIN_NAME -A AUTH_PROXY_USER_NAME [-P
AUTH_PROXY_PASSWORD] -h HOSTNAME
Restore HTTP services. Complete the following steps:
1.
On the management console GUI, select HTTP from the Navigator.
2.
On the HTTP Config Profiles pane, select the profile that was previously applied to the restored
node and then click Modify Profile.
3.
On the Modify Profile dialog box, remove the restored node from the list of servers and click
OK.
4.
On the HTTP Config Profiles pane, select the profile again and click Modify Profile.
5.
On the Modify Profile dialog box, add the restored node to the list of servers and click OK.
All Vhosts and HTTP shares should now be restored on the node.

Configuring a file serving node manually

Use this procedure to configure file serving nodes manually instead of using the template. Also use
this procedure to configure a Management Server that acts as a host for the agile management
console. (You can launch the wizard manually by entering the command
/usr/local/ibrix/autocfg/bin/menu_ss_wizard.)
1.
Log into the system as user root (the default password is hpinvent).
2.
When the System Deployment Menu appears, select Join an existing cluster.
