Be aware of the fact that connections must have a certain
flexibility in order to prevent movement in the installation
leading to cracks.
N.B. A correct and sealed connection is very important for the
proper functioning of the product.
Warning! Weight from the fireplace must not be transferred to the
chimney. The fireplace must not interfere with the ability of the
chimney to move and it must not be fastened to the chimney.
Recommended chimney draught, see «2.0 Technical data».
If the draught is too strong you can install and operate a flue
damper to control the draught.
In case of chimney fire
• Close all hatches and vents.
• Keep the firebox door closed.
• Check the loft and cellar for smoke.
• Call the fire service.
• Before use after a fire an expert must check the fireplace in
order to ensure that it is fully functional.
4.6 Preparation/installation
Unpacking (See fig. 3)
1. Unpack the insert
2. Remove: Heatshield, log -/ash retainer, box with contents,
baffle plates, side burn plates (first remove bolt in the top
edge, see fig. 4A), fire grate, base plate see fig. 4B).
3. Close the door.
4. Carefully lay the insert on its back (use the cardboard
packaging on the floor).
Attaching the legs (fig. 5 - 7)
5. Attach the legs (fig. 5) to the bolts using M8 nuts. (located in
the bag containing bolts.)
6. Screw the adjustable joining pieces (fig. 6) to the legs (B) (M6
x 25 mm and nuts). Distance to the floor made of combustible
material must be min. 368 mm.
7. Measure the surround and adjust the legs to the desired
height.
Stand the product up.
Note: The product is heavy! Make sure you have assistance
when setting it up and putting it in place.
8. The foot stand plate (fig. 7B) should be placed under the bolt
heads (for protection, and to prevent shifting.)
9. Place the heatshield on the floor-between the insert's legs.

Installation of guillotine solution
If a guillotine solution is to be used, this should be installed now.
See separate installation instructions.
Fine adjustments of the product
Fine adjustment's can be done when the insert is set up for trial.
Use a water level and adjust using the M10 x 35 mm bolts on the
joining sections (fig. 6).

4.7 Set up/installation
1. Carry out a trial mount of the insert prior to making a hole
in the chimney. See fig. 1 and 2 for distances.
2. The insert can be mounted using a Ø250 mm/Ø200 mm
flue pipe. For a product that has a guillotine solution, it is
recommended that the flue pipe has a dimension of Ø250.
A Ø250 mm pipe should be mounted internally in the smoke
outlet. If using a Ø 200 mm pipe, an adapter must be used.
The flue pipe should have a sweeping hatch with reversal in
order to ensure that sweeping is possible.
3. Any flue pipe bends are mounted directly on the smoke bell,
and can be turned 360°.
4. Adjust the length of the flue pipe between the bend and the
flue insert. There must be an overlap of at least 40 mm on
the flue pipe bend and the flue insert.
5. Insert the adjusted flue pipe into the flue insert. Attach it
using the provided sealing profile.
6. Place the insert in its final position. Use the sealing profile,
and mount the flue pipe bend on the insert's smoke bell and
in the adjusted pipe.
N.B. It is important that the joints/flue pipes are completely
sealed. Air leakage etc. may lead to malfunction.
Installation of rear burn plates - Ornament
(fig. 8 - 10)
The burn plates consist of 3 parts, and are delivered as a separate
package.
1. Put into place the base plate and fire grate (see fig 3).
2. Start with the back, left burn plate. Thread it behind the
upper bracket (fig. 8) and down behind the base plate. Slide
the plate to the left.
3. Slide the middle burn plate behind the flange on the left burn
plate (se fig. 9)
4. Slide the right burn plate (fig. 10) up and behind the bracket
in the right corner and down behind the base plate.
5. After the burn plates are in place, press them together
towards the centre so that they are closely connected.
Installation of rear burn plates - 1853 (fig. 11)
The burn plates consist of 2 parts, and are delivered as a separate
package.
1. Put into place the base plate and fire grate (see fig 3).
2. Start with the back, left burn plate. Thread it behind the upper
bracket (A) and down behind the base plate (B). Slide the plate
to the left.
3. Slide the right burn plate up and behind the bracket in the
right corner (C) and down behind the base plate (D).
4. Press the burn plates together towards the centre for the
close connection
Installation of rear burn plates - Wave (fig. 12)
The burn plates consist of 2 parts, and are delivered as a separate
package.
1. Put into place the base plate and fire grate (see fig 3).
2. Start with the back, left burn plate. Thread it behind the upper
bracket (A) and down behind the base plate (B). Slide the plate
to the left.
3. Slide the right burn plate up and behind the bracket in the
right corner (C) and down behind the base plate (D).
4. Press the burn plates together towards the centre for the
close connection.
