Prevent the spilling of fuel as this may also ignite with the hot motor. Never refuel whilst the engine is running. • Be careful where you store the hedge trimmer. Store the hedge trimmer in a dry area away from flammable liquids.

Proper handling of the hedge trimmer will reduce possible personal injury from the cutter blade. • Prior to cutting with the hedge trimmer, always check the area to be cut for hidden objects. Be observant for fencing wire, Garden stakes, or electrical cables.

It is normal for smoke to be emitted from a new engine during and after first use. 1. Place the hedge trimmer upright on the ground or on a sturdy bench and wipe any debris from around the fuel cap.

Maintenance Air Filter Caution. NEVER operate this unit without the air filter as dust and dirt will be sucked into the engine and damage it. Accumulated dust in the air filter will reduce engine efficiency, increase fuel consumption and allow abrasive particles to pass into the engine.
