Read and take note of these instructions before you use this tool. IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO THE USER! The Gardenline Hedge Trimmer (GLHT551) may have VISIBLE FLASHING in the motor-housing when in operation or when the electronic brake is engaging. This is perfectly normal for this product and not a cause for concern or an electric safety hazard. - Page 5 Use the right tool Never use tools or attachments with insufficient power for the job in hand. Never use tools on jobs for which they were not intended. Wear suitable work clothes Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery as they may get caught in moving parts.

- Page 7 Specific safety instructions WARNING: We advise you to run the hedge trimmer continuously for 10 seconds before cutting, as the trimmer has an electrical brake system and should not be used continuously in short bursts. To do so could damage the product and will void the guarantee.
- Page 8 10 Make sure there are no other persons or animals within your working area (radius of swing). Carry the hedge trimmer only by its guide handle. Keep cables clear of where you are cutting. Before you use the hedge trimmer, examine the power cable for signs of damage and aging.
