    Getting Started Unpacking Due to modern mass production techniques, it is unlikely that your petrol hedge trimmer is faulty or that a part is missing. If you find anything wrong, do not operate the tool until the parts have been replaced or the fault has been rectified. Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.

    Fuel and Lubrication Fuel Use regular grade unleaded petrol mixed with 2-stroke air-cooled engine oil (40:1) for best results. Use mixing ratios in Section Fuel Mixing Table below. WARNING. Never use straight petrol in your unit. This will cause permanent engine damage and void the manufacturer’s warranty for that product.

    Fuel and Lubrication Filling the tank WARNING. Always shut off the engine before fuelling. Never add fuel to a machine with a running or hot engine. Move at least 9 m (30 ft.) away from the refuelling site before starting engine. Do not smoke when refuelling or operating the hedge trimmer.

The cutting blades are made from high quality, hardened steel and with normal usage, they will not require resharpening. However, if you accidentally hit a wire fence, stones, glass or other hard objects, you may put a nick in the blade.
