REMOVING AN ELEMENT AND LIMITER

WARNING
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
1.
Disconnect power to the cooktop.
2.
Remove the cooktop glass from the burner
base (see page 4-2 for the procedure).
3.
Disconnect the wires from the terminals of
the element and limiter.

Lift the element off the mounting rail. NOTE:
You may have to push the tabs on the
spring clips under the element out of their
mounting rail slots to remove the element.
Make sure that you insert the spring clip
tabs in their correct mounting rail slots
when you reinstall the element.

Turn the element over and remove the
screw from each of the spring clips, then
install the clips at the same numbered
locations as the old ones.
LF Element Only: Remove the screw
from the limiter and remove the limiter
from the element.
