(1) Key switch (a) stop
(c) on (D) heat
4. insert the key into the key switch
and turn it to the "on" position.

(3) oil pressure warning lamp
5. check that the following lamps are
turned on.

6. turn the key to the "start" posi-
tion as soon as the glow plug indi-
cator goes off.
Never. operate. the. start. mo-

tor.for.10.consecutive.seconds.
as.it.consumes.a.lot.of.battery.
power..If.the.engine.cannot.be.
started.within.10.seconds,.wait.
for.30.seconds.and.try.again..
When.trying.to.start.the.engine.

again,. make. sure. that. the. fly-
wheel.is.stopped.in.advance.

Do. not. turn. the. key. switch. to.

the."START".position.while.the.
engine.is.running.
7. when the engine is started, re-
lease the key. the key switch is
automatically returned to the "on"
position.
8. after the engine is started, let the
engine run for approx. 3 to 4 min-
utes (10 minutes in cold weath-
er) to warm up the engine. (refer
to "warming up" page 5-10 for de-
tails)
