A speed sensor fault code on a 2016 Cushman Shuttle 4E after a lithium battery swap could be caused by:

1. Incorrect or loose sensor harness connections.
2. Faulty speed sensor.
3. Improper grounding at J2-4 (should be 0 volts).
4. Incorrect voltage at J2-5 (should be between 0–6.5 volts).

Verify the sensor harness, connections, and sensor operation using a digital voltmeter as described.

SAFETY For any questions on material contained in this manual, contact an authorized representative for clarification. Read and understand all labels located on the vehicle. Always replace any damaged or missing labels. On steep hills it is possible for vehicles to coast at greater than normal speeds encountered on a flat surface. To prevent loss of vehicle control and possible serious injury, speeds should be limited to no more than the maximum speed on level ground.
