The bilge system on the C40 contains the following bilge pumps quantities based upon region:
noRth ameRiCan
• 2 Automatic Electric submersible Bilge Pumps
Ce/inteRnational
• 2 standard Electric submersible Bilge Pumps
• 2 Automatic Electric submersible Bilge Pumps
The bilge is the lowest interior point of the hull. Any accumulation of water
remove up to 1100 to 2000 gallons of water per hour. The bilge locations include:
foRwaRd bilge
The forward bilge pump is located below the Galley companionway. The bilge pump can be accessed through the vIP stateroom ac-
cess panel. see next page for illustration.
tRansom bilge
The transom bilge pump pair is located in the aft bilge area in the engine room.
nOTE: wipe up any oil that may have accumulated in the bilges before operating the bilge pumps. Pumping oil overboard
contributes to water pollution, and is in violation of the federal water Pollution Control Act. violators are subject to
a substantial penalty.
