Check the level of COOLANT by removing the cap on top of each engine and testing for coolant with finger or other means.

    cranks slowly or fails to turn over, check the condition of the battery on the electrical panel. Warm the engine for about 5 minutes before engaging transmission. Observe the readings of the gauges. The oil pressure will register between 40 and 60 psi. The engine temperature should rise slowly.

    Bow Thruster Use the bow thruster only for close quarter maneuvering, short thrusts of power will move the bow to port or starboard. Maximum continuous running of bow the bow thruster is 3 minutes with an interval of a minimum of 3 minutes before engaged again. Elegant Rendezvous responds beautifully to her bow thruster so small bursts work best.

    Your 12 volt panel shows all the systems supported by your house batteries. Primarily you will be turning on the breakers for your lights, water pressure, electronics, entertainment, etc. There are two 12 volt; one at the top of the stairs from the berths for cabin functions and the second on the flybridge lower starboard side for operational functions.

Be aware of the rate of waste production. (about 1 gallon per flush) With an overfilled tank, it is possible to break a hose, clog a vent, or burst the tank.

    Hot Water Tank The HOT WATER HEATER has an 11 gallon capacity tank and is available when connected to shore power or via a heat exchanger underway. To use on shore power, flip on the water heater circuit breaker on the AC electrical panel. Do not use the water heater if the water tank level is very low. The water heater is located outside of starboard engine, aft end.

    TV/DVD A TV is above the radio in the galley. The DVD player unit is located beneath the TV. Insert the DVD and use the select to choose then press play. ANCHORING The primary WORKING ANCHOR is a 45lb CQR and is attached to a 300 ft chain passed through the deck from the ANCHOR LOCKER.

Reverse the procedure to dismount barbecue. Attach a PROPANE BOTTLE to the REGULATOR found in the lower cabinet at the salon entrance.

    CRABBING & FISHING Always check the fishing and crabbing requirements before you leave on your cruise. You will need a license. Many areas are CLOSED to crabbing and fishing in certain months. CRAB AWAY FROM THE BOAT! Lines can get wrapped around props. Measure the crabs using the CRAB MEASURING GAUGE normally located in the salon.
