RS-232 Interface (MS-1207/MS-2207 Only)
Introduction
This chapter provides RS-232 host information for setting up the MiniScan scanner, and
only applies to the MS-1207 and MS-2207. The RS-232 interface is used to attach the
MiniScan scanner to point-of-sale devices, host computers, or other devices with an
available RS-232 port (e.g., com port).

This scanner uses TTL RS-232 levels which interfaces with all PC's with no additional
hardware.
Note: Particularly noisy electrical environments may require a cable with
an RS-232 transceiver. To obtain this cable contact the Symbol
Support Center.
