2.6 2.5" HDD Troubleshooting
Procedure 5 Connector Check and Replacement Check
The HDD is connected to the HD board and the HD board is connected to the connector
CN1800 of the system board. The connecting portions may be loose. Disassemble the
computer following the steps described in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures and perform
the following checks to check the connecting portions :
Check 1 Make sure the HDD is firmly connected to the connector CN9610 of the HD board
and the HD board is connected to the connector CN1800 of the system board.
If connection is loose, reconnect firmly and repeat Procedure 4. If there is still an
error, go to Check 2.
Check 2 The 2.5" HDD may be damaged. Replace it with a new one and check the
operation. If the problem still exists, perform Check 3.
Check 3 The HD board may be damaged. Replace it with a new one following the
instructions in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures. If the problem still exists,
perform Check 4.
Check 4 The system board may be damaged. Replace it with a new one following the
instructions in Chapter 4, Replacement Procedures.
