Removing the Palm Rest

1. Follow the procedures in Before Working Inside Your
2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the access panel.
4. Remove the hard drive.
5. Remove the secondary hard
6. Remove the hinge cover.
7. Remove the keyboard.
8. Remove the display assembly.
9. Remove the screws that secure the palm rest to the bottom of the computer.
10. Disconnect the display cable and right IO-panel and fan cables from the system board.
11. Disconnect the left IO-panel and fan cables from the system board.
12. Remove the screws that secure the palm rest to the computer.
13. Gently pry the palm rest and remove the palm rest from the computer.

Replacing the Palm Rest

To replace the palm rest, perform the above steps in reverse order.
