Prerequisites
1. Follow the procedure in
2. Remove the
base
cover.
3. Remove the battery.
4. Remove the
memory
module.
5. Remove the
hard-drive
6. Remove the
solid-state drive/Intel Optane
7. Remove the
wireless
card.
8. Remove the
I/O
board.
9. Remove the touchpad.
10. Remove the fan.
11. Remove the
display
assembly.
12. Remove the
coin-cell
battery.
13. Remove the speakers.
14. Remove the
power-adapter
15. Remove the
power-button board
16. Remove the
system
board.
NOTE:
The system board is removed and installed with the heat sink attached, when replacing the palm-rest and
keyboard assembly. This simplifies the procedure and avoids breaking the thermal bond between system board and
the heat sink.
