Removing the System Board

NOTE:

1. Follow the procedures in

2. Remove the battery.
3. Remove the
SIM
Card.
4. Remove the
hard
drive.
5. Remove the
access
panel.
6. Remove the
secondary hard
7. Remove the memory.
8. Remove the
flash cache
module.
9. Remove the
wireless personal area network
10. Remove the
wireless local area network
11. Remove the
wireless wide area network
12. Remove the
optical
drive.
13. Remove the
coin-cell battery
14. Remove the
express
card.
15. Remove the
media
card.
16. Remove the
PCMCIA
card.
17. Remove the
hinge
cover.
18. Remove the keyboard.
19. Remove the
internal
memory.
20. Remove the
display
assembly.
21. Remove the
palm
rest.
22. Remove the
heat
sink.
23. Remove the
video
card.
24. Remove the processor.
25. Remove the fan.
26. Remove the
PCMCIA card
cage.
27. Remove the
left I/O, right I/O, and IEEE 1394
28. Remove the screws that secure the system board to the computer.
29. Remove the system board from the computer.

Replacing the System Board

To replace the system board, perform the above steps in reverse order.
