UPS Setup

The Eaton 9135 UPS is designed for flexible configurations and can be installed in a rack or as a standalone
cabinet.
If you are installing the UPS in a rack, continue to the following section, "Rackmount Setup;" otherwise,
continue to "Tower Setup" on page 21.

Rackmount Setup

The rail kit can be mounted in standard 19-inch racks from 61–76 cm (24–30 inches) deep and includes:
Left and right sliding rail assemblies
l
(20) M4x6 mm Phillips
l
(4) M4x10 mm Phillips round-head screws
l
(4) M6x12 mm Phillips round-head screws
l
(8) M6x12 mm Phillips flat-head screws
l
(2) mounting brackets
l
(2) rear hold-down brackets
l

Installing the Rail Kit

DO NOT install the UPS or EBM in a hermetically closed environment without any exchange of

air.
The UPS and EBM are heavy (see Table 13 on page 44): 1) Eaton strongly recommends to
l
remove the battery tray from the UPS before lifting. 2) A minimum of two people are required to
lift the cabinets into the rack.
