Connecting to a telephone line and settings

Connecting a telephone line to the internal modem
It is not possible to connect the internal modem to any of the following lines.
Internal home phones
Intercoms
CAUTION
Do not use the PBX internal phone lines installed in company offices. Doing
so may lead to a fire or electric shock.
NOTE
There are cases telephone construction (or installation) work will be neces-
sary depending on the shape of the connector of the telephone line.

Select [Edit] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] - [Phone
and Modem Options] - [Dialing Rules]
Input the necessary information (items such as the area code) and then
press [Apply].

Set the country for the modem
1 Select [MP3930V - W(C) Modem] in [Start] - [Settings] - [Control Panel] -
[Phone and Modem Options] - [Modem], and then select [Properties].
2 Select [Advanced], and set the country in [Country Select].
CAUTION
There are cases the modem will not work properly when this setting is incor-
rect.
