7. If the four-wheel drive indicator light fails to
come on:
1. Bulb and bulb socket
• Check the bulb and bulb socket for conti-
nuity.
2. Four-wheel drive indicator light relay
• Remove the four-wheel drive indicator
light relay from the wire harness.
• Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) and the
battery (12 V) to the four-wheel drive indi-
cator light relay terminals.
• Check the four-wheel drive indicator light
relay for continuity as follows.
Tester (+) lead →
White/Yellow terminal 1
Tester (–) lead →
Black terminal 2
Battery (+) terminal →
Brown terminal 3
Battery (–) terminal →
White/Black terminal 4 No conti-
Tester (+) lead →
White/Yellow terminal 1
Tester (–) lead →
Black terminal 2
3. Four-wheel drive switch
Refer to "CHECKING THE SWITCH".
