4.1.

Filling the Water Tank

To operate the machine, fi ll the water tank.
Warning: To fi ll the tank use always and only
fresh drinking water, as hot water or carbon-
ated water may damage the machine. Before starting
the machine, make sure that there is always a suffi cient
quantity of water.
• (Fig.2) - Remove the outer lid.
• (Fig.3) - Remove the lid of the tank.
• (Fig.4) - Remove the wands inside the tank
• (Fig.5) - After having pulled out the wands, remove the tank
from the machine.
• (Fig.6) - Fill the water tank with fresh drinking water.
• Insert the full tank in the machine and then insert the wands
inside the tank.
• (Fig.3) - Place the lid of the tank.
• (Fig.7) - Make sure that the wands are NOT crushed and the
water does not come out of the tank.
• (Fig.2) - Place the outer lid on the machine.
Important note: To maintain the effi ciency of the
machine, it is recommended to use a water sof-
tening fi lter to be inserted in the water suction pipe.

Electrical Connection

Warning: Electric power may be very dangerous!
It is therefore necessary to strictly follow the
safety regulations. Do not use faulty power cords.
The operating voltage of the appliance was set in factory. Make
sure that the mains voltage corresponds to the specifi cations on
the technical data plate.
Before connecting the machine to the electrical network, make
sure that the ON/OFF button is set to "0".
• (Fig.8) - Insert the plug into the chassis plug of the ma-
chine.
• Insert the other plug of the power cord in a suitable wall
socket.

5. USE OF THE MACHINE

5.1.
Switch on
To switch on and operate the machine proceed as follows:
• (Fig.9) - Press the ON/OFF button and turn it to the "I" posi-
tion; the machine ready light is on; in this phase the machine
is warming.
• (Fig.11) - Turn the lever to the right until the pod holder is
closed.
• (Fig.12) - Immediately press the brew button; this proce-
dure will load the water circuit.
• (Fig.13) - After 30 seconds press again the brew button to
complete the circuit loading phase.
• Turn the lever of the pod holder to the left.
• Wait until the "machine ready" light turns off . The machine
is now ready to brew coff ee.
5.2.
Coff ee Brewing
The machine works only with compatible pods.
It is forbidden to use diff erent pods than those
recommended. Each pod can be used only for one coff ee
brewing. Do not reuse the already used pods.
Warning: DO NOT insert your fi ngers inside the
pod holder. Risk of scalding!
• Make sure that the pod holder is clean and unobstructed.
• (Fig.10) - Place one pod in the pod holder.
• (Fig.11) - Turn the lever to the right until the pod holder is
closed.
• (Fig.10) - Place the cup over the cup holder grill. Make sure
it is positioned in the centre of the grill.
• (Fig.12) - Press the brew button. The coff ee brewing starts.
• (Fig.13) - When the desired amount of coff ee has been
brewed, press the brew button again to stop brewing.
• Remove the coff ee cup.
• Turn the closing lever to the left to open the pod holder. Re-
move the used pod and throw it in a special container.
