8.2.4.NAT Traversal

(Settings → Network Configuration → NAT Traversal)
IP Sharing: If IP Sharing is enabled, GVC - 3000 would attempt to use the IP that
is provided, in all of its outgoing messages. This IP can be obtained from your
network administrator.
RTP Port Range: These parameters define the local RTP-RTCP port pair GVC -
3000 will listen and transmit. A minimum of eight ports SHOULD be defined. This
is for supporting two calls at a time, each making use of two RTP-RTCP port pairs.
If IP sharing has been enabled, the RTP port range could be specified by your
administrator.
Press the "Stun" button to get the STUN Configuration screen.
STUN Configuration:
If the Stun Server setting is enabled, then the GVC - 3000 NAT traversal
mechanism would behave according to the STUN client specification. Under this
mode, the embedded STUN client inside the GVC - 3000 will attempt to detect if
and what type of firewall/NAT it is sitting behind through communication with the
specified STUN server. Once GVC - 3000 detects the type of NAT, it will attempt to
use its mapped public IP address and port in all of its outgoing messages. The
STUN server details would be provided by your VoIP service provider.
