Error logs

The POST error log contains the three most recent error codes and messages that
the system generated during POST. The System Error Log contains all error mes-
sages issued during POST and all system status messages from both the system
environmental monitor subsystem and the optional IBM Remote Supervisor Adapter,
if installed.
To view the contents of the error logs, start the Configuration/Setup Utility program;
then, select Error Logs from the main menu.

Small computer system interface messages (some models)

If you receive a SCSI error message while using the SCSISelect Utility, use the follow-
ing list to determine the possible cause of the error and what action to take.
