Appliance Setup

A. Remove Shipping Materials
Remove shipping materials from inside or underneath the
fi rebox.
B. Clean the Appliance
Clean/vacuum any sawdust that may have accumulated
inside the fi rebox or underneath in the control cavity.
C. Accessories
Install approved accessories per instructions included
with accessories. See Service Parts List for appropriate
accessories. Refer to Section 16.
WARNING
Shock or fi re risk.
Use ONLY optional accessories approved for
this appliance.
• Using non-listed accessories voids warranty.
• Using non-listed accessories may result in a
safety hazard.
• Only Hearth & Home Technologies approved
accessories may be used safely.
D. Glass Panel Instructions
A. Install back glass panel (see Figure 11.1). Bend retain-
ing tab down to hold back glass panel in position (see
Figure 11.2).
B. Install left glass panel (see Figure 11.1). Install retain-
ing bracket with the self-drilling screw provided to hold
the left glass panel in position (see Figure 11.2).
C. Install right glass panel (see Figure 11.1). Install retain-
ing bracket with the self-drilling screw provided to hold
the right glass panel in position (see Figure 11.2).

E. Glass Media Instructions
Cover base pan with one layer of glass media as shown
in Figure 11.3. Do not place glass media directly over
burner opening.

Delayed Ignition Risk
• Place glass media according to instructions.
• Do NOT place glass media in area in front of
pilot or between burner tracks.
• Do NOT use any media other than the glass
media supplied with this fi replace.
Fireplace will not function properly.
Delayed ignition may occur.
