General Information

Active Directory Authentication (ADS-2800W / ADS-3600W)

Active Directory Authentication restricts the use of the Brother machine. If Active Directory Authentication is
enabled, the machine's control panel will be locked. The machine's settings cannot be changed until the user
enters the user ID and password.
Active Directory Authentication includes the following features:
Automatically obtains the user's email address from the LDAP server and sets it in the From field when
using Scan to E-mail Server
Automatically obtains and sets the user's home directory when using Scan to Network
Change the Active Directory Authentication setting using Web Based Management or BRAdmin Professional 3
®
(Windows
).

Turning Active Directory Authentication Lock On/Off

Start your web browser.

In your browser's address bar, type your machine's IP address (or your print server name). For example:
http://192.168.1.2. You can use the machine's LCD to find its IP address.

Click Administrator.

Click User Restriction Function.

Select Active Directory Authentication or Off.

Click Submit.
NOTE
• You must configure Active Directory Server Settings to enable Active Directory Authentication.
• Control Panel Lock is enabled if Active Directory Server is correctly configured.
