Maintenance

Maintenance must be performed on a regular basis.
Performing maintenance actions can aid in providing safe,
trouble-free operation of all Kettler equipment.
Kettler is not responsible for performing regular inspection
and maintenance actions for your machine. Kettler
representatives are available to answer any questions that
you may have on 01527 588981.
Preventive Maintenance activities
Every Kettler treadmill that comes from the factory is already
lubricated. However, you just need to follow simple steps to
maintain it. Keeping the running machine in a clean state
would help to prolong its life. Perform regular preventive
maintenance to ensure normal operation of unit. Keep a log
of all maintenance actions to assist in staying current with all
preventive maintenance activities. Kettler is not responsible
for performing regular inspection or maintenance.
Instruct all users in maintenance actions
Contact Kettler Customer Service at 01527 588981 for any
preventive maintenance or service concerns.
Read and understand warnings listed in this chapter and the
Safety Section. Read and understand all instructions in this
section. During maintenance, disconnect the power cable.
Tools Required:
• Water
• Dry cloth
• Allen key
• Vacuum
• Lubrication oil
Warning
• Only use water to clean and dust. Do not use any cleaning
product because they may damage the treadmill.
• Be careful not to spill or get excessive moisture between
the edge of the display panel and the console, as this might
create an electrical hazard or cause failure of the electronics.
• Direct spraying could cause damage to the electronics and
may void the warranty.

Warning for maintenance,
service and repair
• Must be performed by trained service personnel only.
• Use only Kettler replacement parts.
• Unplug unit and let sit 10 minutes before cleaning or
performing maintenance.
• Keep water and liquids away from electrical parts.
• Electrical charge can remain in unit after unplugging.
Other Preventive Maintenance
Activities must be completed by a qualified service technician
at the recommended intervals. Failure to do so could result in
serious injury. These activities include:
• Flipping or replacing the running deck.
• Replacing the running belt.
Static electricity: Depending on where the treadmill is placed,
you may experience dry air, causing a common experience
of static electricity. You can notice that by walking across a
carpet and then touching a metal object. On your treadmill
you may experience a shock due to the build-up of static
electricity on your body and the discharge path of the
treadmill. If you experience this type of situation, you may
want to increase the humidity to a comfortable level through
the use of a humidifier.
