3.1 BIOS Introduction

Advantech provides the fully-featured Award BIOS 6.0 that delivers
superior performance, compatibility and functionality to manufacturers of
Industry PC and Embedded boards. The many options and extensions of
Award BIOS 6.0 enables you to customize your products to a wide range
of designs and target markets.
The modular, adaptable Award BIOS 6.0 supports the broadest range of
third-party peripherals and all popular chipsets, plus Intel, AMD, nVidia,
VIA and other compatible CPUs.
You can use Advantech's utilities to select and install features to suit your
designs according to customer needs.

3.2 BIOS Setup

The system has an Award BIOS with a CMOS SETUP utility that enables
the user to configure required settings or to activate certain system fea-
tures.
The CMOS SETUP utility saves configuration settings in the CMOS
RAM of the motherboard. When the power is turned off, the battery on
the board supplies the necessary power to the CMOS RAM.
When the power is turned on, press the <Del> button during the BIOS
POST (Power-On Self Test) to take you to the CMOS SETUP screen.
