The Risco GT 600/601 system with the Vo-COMM voice dialer is designed to work with standard analog telephone lines. It uses physical telephone line connections (e.g., Terminal 2 and 5 on BT sockets) for signaling. Since digital (VoIP) lines may not provide the same reliability or signaling characteristics as analog lines—especially during power outages—the system may not work reliably over a digital phone line. Therefore, it may require an upgrade or a different communication method (such as GSM or IP modules) for full compatibility with VoIP.
