Track Tension

Loose track tension can cause the tracks to come off the machine, causing damage to the
machine and possibly serious injury or death to the operator or bystanders.
During the first 100 hours of use, the tracks stretch and the track tension loosens.
Check track tension during the preoperation inspection and as part of monthly inspections,
as specified in the Regular Inspection Chart.

Maintenance
NOTICE
1. Jack up the front and rear of the chassis to raise the
crawler on one side and make it horizontal to the
ground surface.
Perform this step with extra care so that the jack
does not move from the specified positions.
2. Raise the deck (See page 19).
3. Loosen the lock nut of the crawler tension bolt.
4. Rotate the crawler tension bolt to adjust the clearance
(H in the figure) between the crawler and the lowest
part of the rollers to 10 to 15 mm.
5. Lower the deck (See page 19).
