When the effectiveness of the brake is not sufficient
even after the adjustment above.

7.7.2 Clutch
1. Move the drive clutch lever to the "STOP" (lower
side) position to release the clutch wire.
2. Loosen the clutch wire lock nut.
3. Turn the adjustment nut to adjust the clutch wire.
・ If the disengagement of the running clutch is dif-
ficult, turn the adjustment nut in direction (B).
・ If the V-belt slips, turn the adjustment nut in
direction (A).
4. After the adjustment, tighten the lock nut firmly.

7.7.3 Brake

Proper brake performance is critical for safety.
Always keep brakes adjusted for maximum
performance.
1. Move the drive clutch lever to the "RUN" position to
disengage the brake.
2. Loosen the lock nut for the brake adjuster C.
3. Turn the adjustment nut to adjust the brake adjuster.
・ When the effectiveness of the brake is poor.
Turn the adjustment nut in D direction.
4. After the adjustment, tighten the lock nut firmly.
5. Loosen the lock nut for the brake adjuster E.
6. Turn the adjustment nut in F direction for adjust-
ment.
7. After the adjustment, tighten the lock nut firmly.
