SPECIFYING THE IMAGE QUALITY MODE

This camera has 3 image quality modes; "FINE" (fine), "STD." (standard) and
"ECON." (economy).
The image quality is related to the compression rate of the image. The compres-
sion rate is higher in the order of "FINE"
compression rate is, the lower the image quality is. When you want high quality
images, select "FINE". However, as the compression rate is low, the number of
the images to be recorded in the CF card is less than that in the "STD." or
"ECON." mode. When you want to record images in the card as much as possi-
ble, select "STD." or "ECON.". However, as the compression rate is high, the
image quality is lower than that in the "FINE" mode.
The compression rate, image recording format, image file size and the record-
able number of the image using the CF card of 8 MB in each FINE, STD. and
ECON. are as follows.
