Back panel connections

Balanced Input R/L (symmetrical signal inputs)
Input for pre-amplifiers with symmetrical output. Connect the XLR
sockets L and R to the pre-amplifier sockets with the same
designation (please refer to page 30)
Unbalanced amplifier inputs (RCA jack)
The L and R RCA sockets are connected to the output sockets on the
pre-amplifier. Connect L to L, R to R (please refer to page 32).
The AMP 8 is equipped with two variants of input socket (Cinch, XLR
symmetrical 3-pin). When connecting equipment only one variant may
be selected at any one time. The input not used must be left vacant
One pair of loudspeakers can be connected to the amplifier
(SPEAKER     R and SPEAKER     L). The impedance of each
speaker must not be lower than 4 Ω (DIN rating).
The output stages are designed to cope with a minimum load of 2 Ω,
but continuous operation at very high volume produces high currents
in the power output stages which can lead to overheating. This in turn
trips the protective circuit which switches the amplifier off
automatically.
