Your Medi@ TV set-top box can be connected to a PC in one of two ways: directly wired to you
PC or through a Hub or router. You may already have a Local Area Network (LAN) in your home.
The PC you connect your Medi@ TV set-top box to is sometimes referred to as a server later in
this manual.
For the best performance from your Medi@ TV, you must disable your PC's screen saver
and power saver.

In order to connect the Medi@ TV set-top box to a PC directly using wire, you must have a LAN
card installed in your PC, or your PC must have that function built-in. Connect the Medi@ TV
set-top box to the PC using the included Crossed LAN Cable.
