Serial ATA Connections
Serial ATA Ports
There are six Serial ATA Ports (I-
SATA0~I-SATA 5) located on the
motherboard. These por ts, sup-
ported by the Intel ICH10R South
Bridge, provide serial-link signal con-
nections, which are faster than the
connections of Parallel ATA. See the
table on the right for pin defi nitions.
SAS2 Ports (X8QB6-F only)
Eight Serial_Attached_SCSI Ports
(SAS 0 ~3, 4~7) located on the
X8QB8 to provide serial link connec-
tions. These ports are supported by
the LSI 2108 Controller. See the table
on the right for pin defi nitions.
