2-10 Serial ATA Connections
Serial ATA Ports
There are six Serial ATA Ports (I-SATA0~I-
SATA 5) located on the motherboard, in-
cluding four SATA2 ports and two SATA3
ports. These ports provide serial-link
signal connections, which are faster than
the connections of Parallel ATA. See the
table on the right for pin definitions.
SAS Ports
Eight Serial_Attached_SCSI Ports (SAS
0~3, 4~7) located on the X9DRW series
motherboard to provide serial link connec-
tions. These ports are supported by the
Intel PCH C606 Controller. See the table
on the right for pin definitions.
