DISC PLAY

Be sure to unload disc after play,
SCREEN DISPLAY (Fig. 17)
The display screens are blue while standby or idling mode,
indicating the current status, Each window will display
operation in progress.
Example:
Display A
DISC CHECK TOC CHECK OPEN, CLOSE, PIAY, STOP,
PAUSE, END, NO ADDRESS

CD/CDV/LD
Display C
Below indication appears when corresponding opera-
tion switch is pressed, and disappears after 2 seconds.
SCAN FWD, SCAN REV, STILL, I/L, 2/R, STEREO, ANA-
LOG, DIGITAL,
REPEAT-S,
REPEAT-C,
REPEAT-T,
REPEAT-P, REPEAT-A, PLAY FWD
KARAOKE (SING-ALONG)
PLAY
1, Press the LD/CD function switch. The LD/CD indicator
lights and the LD, CD/CDV indicators blink and then they
light.
ON SCREEN:
DISC CHECK-CD/CDV/LD
(blinking to lighting)
2. Set the KARAOKE switch to KARAOKE. The CHAPTER
STOP indicator lights.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE
switch ( 4/m:
remote control-
ler) to open the disc tray.

4. Load the disc.
Set the disc to the appropriate guide.
5. Press the D/m switch (PLAY F: remote controller). The
disc tray closes automatically and play standby mode is
established.
The LD or CD/CDV indicator lights. "O" appears on the
track number/chapter
display.

(When the disc is a CD/CDV, "PLAY" will not display.)
6. Press the desired DIRECT SELECT switch (DISC 10KEY
remote controller) to start play.
When play is finished, the player will go to pause.
PAUSE
To pause during play
Press the D /IIiI switch (m: remote controller).
PAUSE
To cancel the pause, press the D/ UIIswitch (m orPIAY }:
remote controller).
To stop play
Press the STOP switch ( 4/¤:
remote controller).
STOP (blinking to lighting)
- When the switch is pressed twice, the disc tray opens.
To stop play and remove the disc
Press the OPEN/CLOSE
switch (or press the 4/¤
switch
on the remote controller twice,) The disc tray exits from the
tray port. Disc may now be removed.

+1 O switches of the DIRECT SELECT and DISC 10KEY
switches
These switches serve as number 10. When selecting number
20, press the +1 Oswitch twice and the Oswitch; for number
25, press the +1 O switch twice and the 5 switch.
Note:
Pressing the power switch during LD play is effective after
stop sequence is completed.
MULTIPLE AUDIO DISC WITH DIGITAL SOUND
Replacing vocal from the disc with your voice.
1. Follow steps 1 to 5 of "KARAOKE PIAY" section,
ON SCREEN: PAUSE
2. Press the DIGITAL PLAY switch (DIGITALUWALOG: remote
controller) to select analog vocal mode. The DIGITAL
PLAY indicator goes out.
ANALOG
3. Set the VOCAL CHANGER switch to ON.
4. Start play.
Vocal changer
When you sing into the microphone, your voice automa~
tally stops the original singer's vocals. When you stop
singing, the original singer's voice will return.
- When the volume is set high, singer'svoice can fade out
without singing into the microphone.
This is due to
environment sounds picked up by the microphone.
In contrast to the above, in some settings the singer's
voice will not fade out if the karaoke vocalist sings in a
low voice or at a distance away from the microphone.
Monitor switch
To reproduce the karaoke sound (monaural) only, press
the switch to light up the L indicator.
To reproduce the vocal in addition to karaoke sound
(monaural), press the switch to light up the R indicator.
To reproduce the vocal in addition to karaoke sound
(monaural),
press the switch to light up both L and R
indicators. In this case, if the KARAOKE switch is set in
MUSIC, the karaokesounds
reproduce on left channel z" "
the vocals reproduce on right channel.
CONTINUOUS
PLAY
1. Press the LD/CD function switch.
ON SCREEN: DISC CHECK-CD/CDV/LD
(blinking to
lighting)
2. Set the KARAOKE switch to MUSIC.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE
switch ( A/m:
remote control-
ler) to open the disc tray,
OPEN
4. Load the disc.
5. Press the D/On switch (PIAY }: remote controller) to
start play. The disc tray closes automatically.

If the CHAPTER STOP switch is pressed during the
continuous disc play, single song play mode estab-
lishes.
