10.3.1

Photo conductor drive mechanism

• The photo conductor is driven by the main motor.
• When the main motor is energized, it turns the drive gear, which in turn rotates the photo
conductor.
10.3.2

Photo conductor cleaning mechanism

• The cleaning blade is pressed up against the surface of the photo conductor, scraping
residual toner off the surface.
• The toner scraped off the surface of the photo conductor is collected in the drum car-
tridge.
