10. Insert crank handle (1) into the starting handle support
bearing and slowly turn the crankshaft clockwise until the
exhaust valve's spring is pushed down completely (exhaust
valve is now fully open).
11. Slide a feeler gauge (5) with thickness 0.1 mm between rocker
arm (4) and the inlet valve stem and check the valve
clearance of the inlet valve.
The feeler gauge must be able to be pulled through without
noticeable resistance (drag).
12. If the clearance is too large or too small, undo the lock nut (6)
and adjust the clearance with the adjusting screw (7). The
feeler gauge must be able to be pulled through without
noticeable resistance (drag).
13. Hold the adjusting screw in place with a screwdriver and
tighten the lock nut.
14. Check the valve clearance again.
