Operating range for locking and unlocking the doors
and for opening the trunk lid
The operating range is within about 2.3 feet (70 cm) of the han-
dles of the driver's and front passenger doors and the center of
the trunk lid.

NOTE
Only the F.A.S.T.-key that is detectable by the doors and
the trunk lid can lock and unlock the doors and open the
trunk lid.
The system may not operate if the F.A.S.T.-key is too
close to the windshield, door windows or trunk lid.
Even if the F.A.S.T.-key is within about 2.3 feet (70 cm)
of the handles of the driver's and front passenger doors
and center of the trunk lid, the system may not operate if
the key is close to the ground or in a high position.
If the F.A.S.T.-key is within the operating range, even a
person not carrying the F.A.S.T.-key can lock and unlock
the doors or open the trunk lid by operating the driver's
door, front passenger door or trunk lid.
