Updating Software Automatically; Automatic Update - Panasonic P-05D Instruction Manual

• When updating software, the proprietary information about
your P-05D (model name, serial number, etc.) is automatically
sent to the server (DOCOMO-managed server for Software
Update). We at DOCOMO never use the sent information for
purposes other than to update software.
• If you fail to update software programs, [Software update
failed. Please visit to a shop near you.] is displayed and you
may not be able to do all operations. In that case, you are
kindly requested to come to a repair counter specified by
DOCOMO.
• If PIN code is set, PIN code entry screen, in which you need to
enter PIN code, appears in reboot process after rewrite
process.
• Do not start other applications during software update.

Updating Software Automatically

(Automatic Update)

New software is automatically downloaded and updated at a
preset time.
By default, automatic update setting is set to [Automatic
Update].
(software update available) appears in the status bar
once rewriting is ready. Then you can check the rewriting
time, and select whether to change the rewriting time or
immediately start rewriting.
If (software update available) remains displayed at the
rewriting time, rewriting is performed automatically and
(software update available) is cleared.
In case of insufficient battery or during call at the rewriting
time, software update does not start until the same time on
the following day.
If automatic update setting is set to [Manual Update] or
immediate software update system is busy, software cannot
be updated automatically.
