Common Problems and Solutions

This section provides possible solutions to problems regarding the installation
and operation of the Managed 24-Port with Dual Gigabit Switch. If your situ-
ation is described here, the problem should be solved by applying the corre-
sponding solution. If you can't find an answer here, check the Linksys web-
site at www.linksys.com.

• Be sure you have configured the agent with a valid IP address, subnet
mask, and default gateway (Layer 2).
• Check that you have a valid network connection to the Switch and that
the port you are using has not been disabled.
• Check the network cabling between the management station and the
Switch.
• If you cannot connect using telnet, there may already be four active
sessions. Try connecting again at a later time.
• Reinstall the switch firmware as described in the Appendix. Otherwise,
contact Linksys Technical Support for help.
