What to do
The USB memory may be in one of the following conditions.
The USB memory is damaged
The USB memory was removed while data was being written
There is not enough free space or the number of saved files has reached the
maximum limit
"USB memory requirements" on page 40
U
Check that the USB memory is not damaged and that there is enough free space.
A foreign object was detected in the platen's path while it moved forward or backward
into the printer. Check for the object in the platen's path and beneath the movable base.
Open the printer cover if necessary to check inside the printer. Close the printer cover after
checking.
The height detection sensor may have reacted because of the uneven print surface of the
loaded T-shirt. Press the } button to move the platen forward, adjust the height, and try
again.
"Adjusting the Height" on page 35
U
Turn the printer off, wait for a while, and then turn on the printer again.
Use EPSON LFP Remote Panel 2 to re-attempt the update.
If this message appears on the LCD panel again, contact your dealer or Epson Support.
Press the + button and cancel the print job. Check that the installed RIP software is
compatible with the printer.
10 minutes or more has passed since you started cap cleaning or head cleaning set
replacement. If the print head is moved out of its designated position for more than 10
minutes, the nozzles could easily be clogged. Finish cleaning or replacement as soon as
possible. When you have finished the operation, we recommend performing a nozzle
check to confirm that the nozzles are not clogged.
"Checking for clogged nozzles" on page 44
U
If cleaning is not performed for White ink for a certain period of time, print quality may
decline due to sedimentation (ink particles sink to the bottom of the liquid) and clogged
nozzles. Clean the printer if the printer is turned off for a long time.
What to do
A part used in the printer is nearing the end of its service life.
Contact your dealer or Epson Support and tell them the maintenance request code.
You cannot clear the maintenance request until the part is replaced. A service call occurs if
you continue to use the printer.
