Caution:

❏ Always wear protective eyewear and gloves
when applying the liquid.
Should any waste ink contact your skin or
enter your eyes or mouth, immediately take the
following actions:
- If ink adheres to your skin, immediately wash
it off using soapy water. Consult a physician if
the skin appears irritated or is discolored.
- If ink enters your eyes, rinse immediately with
water. Failure to observe this precaution could
result in bloodshot eyes or mild inflammation.
If problems persist, consult a physician.
- If any enters your mouth, consult a physician
immediately.
- If fluid is swallowed, do not force the person to
vomit and consult a physician immediately. If
the person is forced to vomit, fluid may get
caught in the trachea which can be dangerous.
❏ Store waste ink out of the reach of children.
❏ After replacing the waste ink bottle, wash your
hands and gargle thoroughly.
Waste ink is classified as industrial waste. Dispose of
waste ink according to your local laws and statutes such
as entrusting it to an industrial waste disposal company.
When handing over the pre-treatment liquid to the
industrial waste disposal company, make sure you
include the safety data sheet.
Important:

Never remove the waste ink bottle while printing,
cleaning the print head, or carrying out the
following maintenance procedures. Waste ink may
leak.

The printer calculates the amount of waste ink and
displays a warning message when it is close to the limit.
If the waste ink bottle is filled up while printing, replace
it with a new waste ink bottle, and then press the Z
button as instructed by a message displayed on the
control panel to clear the waste ink counter and
continue printing. However, as the ink dries on the
T-shirt while replacements are performed, the tone of
the print results may differ.
Maintenance
Note:
If you have replaced the waste ink bottle before a message
is displayed on the control panel telling you to do so, reset
the Waste Ink Counter from the Maintenance menu.

Important:

Do not clear the waste ink counter unless you are
replacing the waste ink bottle. Otherwise the waste
ink bottle replacement time will not be calculated
correctly.

Replacing the waste ink bottle

Your hands may be soiled by waste ink. If necessary,
wear the gloves included in the maintenance kit
supplied.

Remove the outer and inner caps from the new
waste ink bottle.
Important:

You need the caps when disposing of the waste
ink bottle. Keep them in a safe place.
