Air Bleeding Procedures
IMPORTANT: Air in the fuel system may make the engine
hard to start or make it run irregularly.
After draining water and sediment from
the fuel filter, replacing the fuel filter or
running the fuel tank dry, be sure to bleed
the air from the fuel system.
d
WARNING: Fuel leaks may lead to fires.
1. Check fuel cock (5) under the fuel pre-filter is opened.
2. Loosen air bleed plug (2) on fuel main filter (3).
3. Supply fuel by reciprocating priming pump (6). After no
air bubbles are spouted through air bleed plug (2), lock
priming pump (6).
4. Supply fuel by reciprocating priming pump (1) of main
filter (3), bleed the remained air.
5. Tighten air bleed plug (2) of main filter (3)
d
CAUTION: Bleed air from main filter (3) one by one.
IMPORTANT: Over tightening air bleed plug (2) causes
damage.
6. Tighten reciprocating priming pump (1) of main filter (3).
7. Supply fuel by reciprocating priming pump (6) of fuel
feed pump.
8. Wipe off any spilled fuel.
9. Start the engine. Check that no fuel leaks are present. If
the engine does not start, repeat the above procedures
from step 1.

Air Bleeding by Cranking
Bleed air from the fuel system after changing the common
rail.
Bleeding Procedures

according to the above-mentioned procedures.
2. Operate starter motor for long cranking within 20
seconds. If engine falls to start, return key switch to OFF.
Wait more than about 60 seconds, then try again.
