STOPPING THE ENGINE

Engine stop procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Lower the bucket to the ground.
3. Turn engine control dial (1) to the slow idle position and
run the engine for 5 minuets to cool the engine.
IMPORTANT: Turbocharger may be damaged if the
engine is not properly shut down.
4. Turn key switch (2) OFF. Remove the key from key switch
(2).
5. Pull pilot control shut-off lever (3) to the LOCK position.
If the engine does not stop with key switch (2) turned in
the OFF position
In case the engine does not stop even if key switch (2) is
turned OFF due to failure of the machine, move emergency
stop switch (4) downward to stop the engine.

CAUTION: Do not use emergency stop switch (4),
except when unavoidable.
Moreover, Do not operate the machine until repair is
completed when stopping the engine with the failure
of the machine.
