fusing, improper development, or incorrect charging.

Action
Replace the toner cartridge if the cartridge is
nearing the end of life.
Check the transfer roll for toner buildup and con-
tamination. Clean the transfer roll by performing
POST two or three times.
Light print or black vertical streaks can be
caused by an open transfer leakage current cir-
cuit. Check the transfer roll right side contact,
TFR board lead and the TFR Leakage board
(PWB-T) for damage or poor contact.
If light print is still a problem, replace the follow-
ing FRUs one at a time in the order shown:

Transfer Assembly
TFR Leakage board PWB-T
Engine board
Action
Check the hot roll and backup roll for toner
buildup. Clean or replace as necessary.
If the fuser assembly is clean and functioning
correctly, replace the following FRUs one at a
time in the order shown:
HVPS
Engine board
