Component Function

Mode switch : DIP-SW

This switch is used to rewrite the firmware for the activation control microcontroller and select the
forcible activation mode.
This switch is used to select the normal activation mode, the forcible activation mode, and the
maintenance mode.

*1 : This product has got an internal heater and automatically detects a Low Temperature State (-20 to 0°C) with its internal sensor when
power is supplied. For a Low Temperature State, the internal heater is turned on to heat the inside of the main unit. Once the internal
temperature reaches to 0°C the internal heater is turned off, then you can turn on the CPU power to start the OS. You can tell whether
the internal heater is ON or OFF from the STATUS LED (For more details, see the following 'LED: Power, Access, Status'
section).

This setting is for the normal use.
When starting from Low Temperature State (-20 to 0°C),
wait until the internal heater*1 completes the heating
process (the internal heater automatically turned off
when the process is completed), and then turn on the
CPU power to start the OS.
For the startup time from Low Temperature State, see
the graph below.
This setting is for the forcible activation.
Independently of the internal temperature and input
power supply voltage, turn on the CPU to start the OS
just as power is supplied. Use this setting within the
range of 0 to 60°C. Note that if this setting is used at
Low Temperature State, the internal heater*1 is turned
on, which results in a trouble.
This setteing is for the maintenance. This mode is used
to rewrite the firmware for the activation control
microcontroller, therefore, it is unlikely to be set and
used by a customer.
This is a reserved setting. It is unlikely that this setting
is used.
