Remove the hinge cover (2).
The hinge cover is available using spare part number 733634-001.
10.
Remove the two Torx T8M2.5×7.0 screws that secure the display assembly to the computer.
11.
Position the computer with the front toward you.
12.
Open the computer as far as it will open.
CAUTION:
Support the display assembly when removing the display assembly screws in the following
steps. Failure to support the display assembly can result in damage to the display assembly and other
components.
13.
Remove the two Torx T8M2.0×5.0 screws (1) that secure the display panel cable to the system board.
14.
Remove the display panel cable bracket (2).
15.
Detach the display panel cable (3) from the base enclosure. (The display panel cable is attached to the
base enclosure with double-sided tape.)
