Access to CentreWare
12.1.1 What is CentreWare Internet Services?
CentreWare Internet Services is the software that allows you to display, configure and change the
current status or settings of a printer by using a browser on a computer. CentreWare Internet Services
also enables you to configure network settings through the network computer instead of the printer's
control panel.
12.1.2 Environment setting for browser
It is advisable to configure the environment settings for the browser before using Centre Ware
Internet Services.
For Netscape 7.0
Setting up the display language
Procedures
1.
Select [Preferences] from [Edit] on the menu bar.
2.
Click [Languages] under the [Navigator] group in the [Category] column.
3.
Specify the display language in order of preference in the [Language in order of preference]
list.
For example:
Japanese [ja]
English [en] or English/United States [en-US]
Korean [ko]
Chinese/China [zh-CN]
Chinese/Taiwan [zh-TW]
4.
Click [OK].
Setting the Printer's IP Address to Non-proxy
Procedures
1.
Select [Preferences] from [Edit] on the menu bar.
2.
Click the mark on the left of [Advanced] in the [Category] column.
3.
Click [Proxies] under [Advanced].
4.
Select either [Direct connection to the Internet] or [Manual proxy configuration].
When you select [Manual proxy configuration], specify the printer's IP address in the [No
Proxy for:] box.
5.
Click [OK].
For Internet Explorer 6.0

Select [Internet Options] from [Tools] on the menu bar.
2.
Click [Languages] in the [General] tab.
3.
Specify the display language in order of preference in the [Language] list.
