Definition
The amount of insulin necessary to account for a certain number of
carbohydrates.
Carbohydrate foods include sugars and starches. Carbohydrates can
raise blood glucose levels slowly or rapidly. Carbohydrates are generally
counted to calculate a bolus insulin dose.
Value displayed on meter as the result of a control test. When the Control
Result is within the range shown on the label of the test strip container,
then the test strips and the meter are working properly.
A meter test using control solution which lets you know that the meter
and test strips are working properly.
