used test strip was removed
and reinserted.
E-58 Temp. Error
The temperature is above or

below the proper range for
the meter.
E-59 Battery
The batteries are extremely

Empty
low.
E-60 Time/Date
The time and date settings

Error
may be incorrect.
You have changed the
j
batteries.
Possible Solution(s)
Turn o the meter and remove the batteries. Wait at
j
least 30 seconds prior to reinserting the batteries.
Turn on the meter and perform a blood glucose or
control test. If the problem persists, contact
ACCU-CHEK Customer Care Service Center at
1-800-688-4578.
Move the meter to an area within the proper
j
temperature range indicated for test strip use in the
test strip package insert. Wait 5 minutes before
turning on the meter. Repeat the test. Do not
artificially heat or cool the meter.
Insert new batteries. See Chapter 8, Maintenance.
j
Ensure the time and date are correct and adjust, if
j
necessary. See Chapter 5, Changing Meter
Settings.
